Keep your Hardinge Lathe up and running using our 7-year preventative maintenance program.

Here is an outline of the Hardinge on site 7-year service that would be performed at your location (time needed is approx. 8 hours per machine)

• Full detailed dismantling and cleaning of the Vari-Pulley system as well as replacement of shims and bearings
• Brake assembly completely serviced adjusted, and shoe replaced
• Carriage hand wheel bushings replaced if needed, and shaft re-fitted as needed
• Gear box inspected and lubricated with new grease
• Pinion Bearing Replaced
• Gear feed engagement knobs and shafts lubricated and timed for easy engagement
• The Bijur oil pump system removed completely flushed and gasket replaced. Verify all oil holes free of debris and functioning
• Bijur restrictors replaced
• Drive belts replaced and adjusted for proper fit
• Carriage Power feed motor new brushes installed as needed
• Collet closer disassembled and bearing and support screws replaced with new
• Closer clutch cone replaced
• 2 new rubber way wipers installed and attaching hardware
• Spindle side wiper stainless guard installed.
• Cross feed screw cleaned and adjust the nut to reduce backlash
• Carriage and Cross slide gibs adjusted
• Oil Level Sight Glasses replaced for Way Oil Level and Apron oil level
• Apron fluid drained and replaced with Mobil-fluid 424 Hardinge specific Oil
• Speed change window replaced for easier speed indication
